Private Courses - French

Our private, personalized French courses are available for the Program B, Program C, Developmental and Specialized programs.

French Program B

Program B for French is designed for students whose linguistic profile corresponds to "false beginner". False beginner students have passive academic knowledge of French that has been acquired through conventional courses.

CILFO's Program B for French corresponds to the general conditions of PSC's Level B linguistic level.

Students are expected to complete the following five stages. The estimated length of each stage has been established on the basis of private courses for students with Level B skills (average to good). Under different conditions, the length of each stage may vary.

 

French Program C

Program C for French is designed for students who are near Level B. Program C for French lasts approximately 350 to 400 hours.

Program C for French has been divided into two main parts:

Grammar Component Verification of grammar knowledge Assimilation of complex grammar elements	Strategy Component Developing communication strategies Giving structure to a story and making it flow by adopting a fast, smooth delivery Learning ways to add detail to your conversation in order to fill gaps in delivery Role playing and simulating exams
Vocabulary Component Assimilation of idiomatic expressions Elimination of anglicisms Correction of syntax and poorly constructed expressions	Oral Comprehension Component Listening to broadcasts on specific themes and current subjects Making summaries of audio content Writing dictations

French Development Program

This program allows students at all levels to improve their grammar skills and their ability to express themselves in French. It has no pre-established length or plan since it adapts to the needs of the student.

French Specialized Program

This program is designed to prepare the student for a meeting, conference or workshop of indeterminate length on a specific subject. The student learns to use the French terminology related to the situation via conversation and role playing.
