ProgramCILFO offers an intensive preparation program for TOEFL, the most popular standardized English test, internationally recognized in the English-speaking world, highly regarded by companies and a requirement for enrolment at colleges and universities in North America. We offer a preparation course for this examination as part of an intensive 30-hour program. Courses typically last 4-8 weeks. Twenty lessons per week concentrate on active grammar input and language skills and 10 lessons per week focus on study skills and exam practice. CILFO has a newly designed course for the elements of the new TOEFL and students can now take the official TOEFL (iBT) test at Algonquin College here in Ottawa. Choose CILFO and be sure to utilize the latest in study materials and classroom resources. We are equipped with a modern, fully functional, high tech computer lab which students have full access to five days a week, as well as classrooms equipped with the latest in audio/visual equipment designed to facilitate your studies.
The test, which consists of 3 sections, measures listening comprehension, structure and written expression, as well as reading comprehension and vocabulary using a multiple-choice format. The overall number of points you achieve in these three areas will show the level of your language skills. To achieve a good result you will probably need to take at least a four-week intensive course. We will help you prepare quickly and efficiently and will even arrange for your official TOEFL (iBT) test date here in Ottawa.
